House rules
A handful of agreements, some ours and some set by the Harmony owners’ association. They are not there to fuss over you. This is a residential development where people live all year round, and these rules keep it pleasant for everyone.
- No smoking Not on the terrace or in the garden either, because the smoke drifts into the apartment and into the neighbours’.
- No pets Not even briefly or in a crate. This is a rule of the Harmony owners’ association.
- No parties or events This is a development where people live all year round.
- No visitors other than the registered guests We register every guest with the authorities, so whoever sleeps here has to be known in advance.
- Quiet hours from 22:00 to 10:00 Outdoors this matters even more, because sound carries a long way across the hills.
- Children are welcome A cot and a high chair can be hired. Ask for them with your request and they will be ready when you arrive.
- No commercial photography Photographs for yourself are of course fine.
- The main guest is at least thirty years old and present throughout the stay We do not rent to a group whose booker is not coming along.
Arrival and departure
Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out is by 10:00. The door has a smart lock, so you get your own code in advance and there is no key to collect. You can reach us on WhatsApp or by phone whenever you need to. A later check-out is often possible if nobody arrives that day; just ask the day before.
Noise and the surroundings
Harmony sits in a neighbourhood where people live all year round, and the municipality of Mijas has its own rules against noise nuisance and vibration. Please keep it quiet from 22:00, outside as well, because sound carries a long way across the hills and the terraces are close together. Treat the surroundings with care and leave nothing behind at the pool or in the shared garden.
The pool and the shared areas
- There are two pools: a main pool and a children’s pool. Both are for residents and their guests. Please shower before going in.
- No food and no drinks at the poolside, and that includes alcohol. No animals either.
- Wear swimwear in the pool enclosure, with a shirt over it if you like, and pool sandals.
- No ball games at the pool, they get in other people’s way.
- No running around the pools.
- Small children wearing a nappy are not allowed in the water.
- Do not reserve loungers with towels, and take your things with you when you leave.
- Please leave the parasol closed when you are done.
- No smoking at the pool.
- Children under twelve must always be supervised by an adult. Please note that the pool is not fenced and the staircases in the complex have no child safety gates.
- Keep the hallways, staircases and shared areas free of personal belongings, so no bicycles or pushchairs.
- Do not wedge any of the complex doors or gates open with an object.
- Please be friendly to the maintenance and cleaning staff of the complex.
- Only toilet paper down the toilet, in the apartment and at the pool. Nappies, wipes and sanitary towels belong in the bin, otherwise the drains of the whole building block up.
These rules are not ours. They come from articles 15 and 16 of the internal regulations of the Harmony owners’ association, from its summer letter of 1 August 2026 and from the rules posted at the pool and in the buildings. They apply to owners just as much as to guests.
Cameras
Techny Ges operates an exterior security camera on the back garden and also uses the video doorbell at the front door of the apartment, which looks out over the communal corridor and the lift. There are no cameras inside the apartment.
